David began his performing career as a singer, musician and bandleader, performing throughout the West Coast and Canada. He was the opening act for headliners like: comedian Steve Martin, the Dave Brubeck Quartet and jazz legend Jon Hendricks.
For over 20 years, David has performed for leading US regional theatres. He has shared the stage with such notable performers as: Kevin Spacey, Helen Hayes, Terrance Mann, Kate Mulgrew and JK Simmons; and worked with award-winning directors like: Garland Wright, Stanley Kramer and Bartlett Sher.
Koch has performed as a guest artist with the Seattle Symphony, narrating works such as: Peter and the Wolf, The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, and the world premiere of Samuel Jones’ The Shoe Bird.
David’s wide range of characters and voices has been featured in many television and radio commercials such as: Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Chevron, SeaWorld, Macy’s and Nintendo. And as a spokesperson in corporate videos for Microsoft, Boeing, Hewlett-Packard and many others.
